Privacy Policy
This policy covers the LoopCal website at loopcal.fit, our pre-launch waitlist, and messages you send us about them. In this policy, "LoopCal", "we", and "us" mean the team operating this website. You can contact us at support@loopcal.fit.
The website introduces a planned nutrition-tracking app. It does not let you upload meal photos, track your diet, or enter health or payment information. This policy does not cover use of the app. Any beta or app that collects that information will need its own privacy notice before you use it.
Information we collect
- Waitlist and verification information. When you request a verification code, we send your email address and the signup form's source label to Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Supabase creates an authentication record, including an identifier, timestamps, and email verification status, even if you do not finish joining. After you verify your email, our waitlist stores your email address, a record identifier, the signup source, and the date and time you joined. This verification record does not give you access to the LoopCal app.
- Technical information. Our hosting and authentication providers process information needed to handle requests and protect their services. This can include your IP address, browser or device information, requested URLs, timestamps, response status, and authentication events.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any information or attachments you choose to include. Please do not send meal photos, medical records, passwords, or verification codes to our contact address.
How we use information
We use this information to:
- Send a one-time code and verify that you control the email address.
- Manage the waitlist and send the beta and launch updates you request.
- Operate the website, troubleshoot problems, and prevent misuse.
- Respond to messages, privacy requests, and legal obligations.
Joining is optional. Requesting a code starts email verification; completing verification signs you up for beta and launch emails. You can ask us to stop those emails at any time using the contact details below. We do not sell your personal information or share it with other companies for their own marketing.
Who processes information
We use service providers to operate the website and waitlist:
- Vercel hosts and delivers the website.
- Supabase stores signup records and handles email verification.
- Email service providers deliver verification and waitlist messages and handle correspondence sent to our contact inbox.
These services process information needed for their functions. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to respond to lawful requests, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect people's rights and safety.
Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live. The locations depend on the services and hosting configuration; we do not promise that all information stays in India. Contact us if you need details about the providers or processing locations used for your information.
Cookies, browser storage, and analytics
The website uses browser session storage to remember whether you have seen the introductory animation. The entry, loopcal_splash_seen, contains a simple flag, not your email address. It normally clears when you close the tab or window. Your browser may preserve it when restoring a browsing session.
The website also reads basic browser capabilities, such as screen pixel density, reduced-motion preferences, and available processor or memory information, to adjust the animation. Our website code does not send those animation settings to us or use them to create a visitor profile.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party audience analytics on this website. Hosting and authentication services still process technical requests and security logs as described above. Our waitlist code does not save your email, verification code, or authentication tokens in browser cookies or local storage.
You can clear browser storage in your browser settings. We will update this policy and provide any legally required choices before introducing additional tracking technologies.
How long information is kept
We keep verified waitlist information while it is needed to manage your signup and send the beta and launch updates you requested. We will remove it when you ask to leave the waitlist or when it is no longer needed for that purpose, subject to any legal requirement to retain particular records. Joining the waitlist does not authorise an unrelated, ongoing marketing subscription.
An unfinished signup can leave an unverified authentication record. Verification codes expire separately; expiry does not itself delete that record. You can ask us to delete an unfinished signup as well as a verified one.
Support correspondence, security logs, and backups may have different retention periods based on their purpose, provider settings, and applicable legal requirements. Deleting an active record does not necessarily remove every backup copy immediately; those copies may remain until the backup is replaced or expires.
Your choices and privacy requests
To leave the waitlist, stop beta and launch emails, or request access, correction, or deletion of your information, email support@loopcal.fit. If possible, write from the address you used to sign up and tell us what you would like us to do. You do not need to give a reason for leaving the waitlist.
We may need to verify that a request relates to your information before disclosing or changing it. A deletion request covers the related waitlist and authentication records, not just future emails. We will explain if a legal obligation prevents us from deleting a particular record. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have additional rights, including the right to object to or restrict processing, receive a portable copy of information, or complain to a competent data-protection authority. Contact us with any privacy concern or grievance so we can address it.
Security
We use hosted services and access controls to protect signup information. No website, email system, or storage service can guarantee complete security. Keep your verification code private and contact us if you believe your email address has been used without your permission.
Children
The waitlist is for people aged 18 or older. Please do not submit an email address if you are under 18. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us so we can investigate and remove the relevant records.
Changes to this policy
We will publish changes on this page and update the date above. For material changes affecting existing waitlist members, we will provide an appropriate notice, such as an email or a prominent website notice. If a new use of your information requires consent, we will ask before starting that use.
